The EM for youth was organized in Mamaia in Romania 5-14 September 2023 with 9 rounds of long chess. From Stavanger SKU participated IM Aksel Bu Kvaløy and Martin Holten Fiskaaen in U16 and Githiha Sathish in G12. Aksel got a strong 12th place with 6 points. Martin got 4.5 points and 44th place with a total of 7 draws, one loss and one win. Githiha was ranked 51 out of 75 with 4 points. Great effort from all three. There is a high level in the EC with many strong players with a lower than real rating. Otherwise, GM Elham Amar (OSS) excelled with a 3rd place in U18.
